Discovery Place Child Care: A Safe and Engaging Environment for Children

At Discovery Place Child Care, safety is our top priority. We understand the importance of ensuring your child's well-being while in our care, which is why we have a strict rule that requires verbal notification or a written note signed by the parent or guardian before releasing your child to someone other than you.

Our childcare center offers a variety of engaging activities for children to explore and learn through fun experiences. We believe in the importance of education through play, and our programs are designed to help children become independent, kind, and considerate little people.

We cater to children of different ages, from infants to preschoolers. Our Infant Room is designed for children aged six weeks up to 12 months old, while our Toddler Room is for children between 24 months and 3 1/2 years old. Our Preschool Room is for children aged 3 1/2 to 5 years old, where they can enjoy activities such as music and movement classes, drama, story time, arts and crafts, and field trips.

Our Waddler Room is a specially designed area for one-year-olds who are just starting to walk or crawl. They have plenty of space to pull up and walk along block tables, push carts, and crawl up our baby gym. Our infant caregivers provide individual attention to ensure each child feels safe and supported.

We also offer separate areas for new walkers and crawlers to play without being disturbed by the older children. This allows our little ones to have tummy time, bouncy seat time, and exersaucer time in a peaceful environment.

Discovery Place Child Care is conveniently located near Route 1 and the Maine Turnpike, making it easily accessible for commuters from Biddeford, Saco, Old Orchard, Scarborough, and the Greater Portland area. Our center is open Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, at 8 Waterfall Drive in Saco, Maine.
